Tertiary Butyl Catechol (TBC)

Tertiary Butyl Catechol (TBC) is a chemical compound (C10H14O2) used primarily as a polymerization inhibitor to prevent unwanted reactions in monomers like styrene and butadiene during storage and transport. It also acts as an antioxidant in fuels, oils, and other organic compounds. TBC is a white to yellowish solid, slightly soluble in water, and highly soluble in organic solvents.
