The Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE) announced that Mr. Peeraphan Korthong, Secretary General of OAE, presided over a meeting with executives from Sojitz Dee-X Co., Ltd. and Sojitz (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The meeting was held at the AEOC Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Agricultural Economics Operations Center Building, with the objective of advancing joint efforts in sustainable agriculture and climate‑smart development.

During the session, OAE and Sojitz exchanged insights and explored potential avenues for collaboration, focusing on three strategic areas:

• Reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural sector through improved farming practices and sustainable supply chain development

• Applying advanced agricultural technologies and innovations to enhance production efficiency and environmental performance

• Developing a data-driven platform to support smart agricultural production management and improve decision-making for farmers and policymakers

This engagement underscores OAE’s ongoing commitment to promoting environmentally responsible agricultural systems and strengthening Thailand’s readiness to address future sustainability challenges. Both organizations expressed their intention to continue discussions and pursue cooperative initiatives that support national goals on climate resilience and green transformation.
